Ayla is the daughter of award winning ice carvers Keven and Deline Laughlin.  Last year she made her debut as an Amateur Artist here at Ice Alaska with her Dad as her team mate.  This year, she is sculpting on her own in the Youth Classic Division.

Ayla likes ice art because "it's a way of expressing what come from the heart".  Besides sculpting, Ayla is also developing her sketch artist skills.  This year her dragon concept sketches were used by her dad to build the large dragon slide in the 2016 Fredmeyer Kids Park.
