Born on the enchanted island of Puerto Rico, this executive chef and artistic food carver has proven that heat, ice and unique cuisine can be mixed to express the unimaginable on ice.

Luis Lopez was part of the “Ice Team USA” in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2003. Then an injury kept him from competing. After 16 years, he has come back to Alaska and is enthusiastically looking forward to meeting with his old fellow sculptors from around the world.
