Bio

Karl was born 1972 in Pompton Plains, NJ, from a Swedish Father and Finnish Mother.  

He attended the Culinary Institute America, Hyde Park, NY.  He has worked in Florida at Breakers Hotel, Palm Beach; Club Room at Boca Raton Resort and Club Boca Raton.  In California he worked at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, San Francisco.  

Karl currently lives in Greenville, SC, with his wife Poppy and twin sons, Elek and Daven.  He works as Executive Chef at the Sapphire CC, Cashiers, NC.  

This is Karl's first time at Ice Alaska, carving with fellow teamates, Edwin Hutchison, Aubrey Newton and David Smith. They call themselves "Team Ice Age"!
