Jason is originally from Charleston, South Carolina.  Growing up, his  plan was to be a baseball player.  He took art classes in high school, and discovered he enjoyed art.  When the baseball plan didn't pan out, he found work in construction.  Then two years ago, he was offered a position at Ice Age Ice Sculptures, and the creativity he learned in those high school art classes returned.  

This is Jason's first trip to Alaska and the BP World Ice Art Championships.
