Joel is a 10 year army veteran, with multiple combat tours, he came to Fairbanks in 2010, and decided to stay and make this his home.  He truely enjoys working with his hands and creating things.

He started carving ice 5 years ago, and 2016 will mark his 3rd year competing at the BP World Ice Art Championships.  This year he is excited to introduce his friend and co-worker, Mike Winnie, to the art of Ice Carving.
