From Germany, Hilke has an education as an art teacher and has taught painting to adults at the private School of Arts KUBE (Kunsstschule Bederkesa) since 1999. Since 2013 she has been the chairwoman of this school. Hilke has practiced as an artist since 1990 and has done several art shows in northern Germany and in France. Since 2015, she has added sculptures into her work.
