Egor has a higher degree as an art teacher. He teaches at Yakutsk Childrens Art School ivory carving to kids of ages 9 to 13. Egor is the member of Yakut Fine Art Association. He carves ritual tethering posts called Serge, erecting them every year in June for Ysyakh (Yakuts New Year). Egor started working with ice in 1995. In 2009, he won 2nd prize in International Snow Sculpture Symposium Cortina d'Ampezzo and competed in the San Martino di Castrozza International Snow & Ice Sculpture Contest. Third place in the 2011 Crystal Swan competition on Lake Baikal brought Egor to Alaska.
In addition to the sharp eye and steady hand that make him an exceptional carver, Egor is also a hunter. Egor enjoys music, plays guitar, and dances. He and his wife love to compete in classic ballroom dance.
