Carving giant ice blocks with a chainsaw originally enticed this desert dweller from Nevada to the Ice Alaska event. Currently living and working in Fairbanks, sculptor Lacie Stiewing also uses steel, cast plastic, fabrics and more to create sculptures based in Alaskan animal imagery.
