Alaska, USA

Alex was born in Uzbekistan, Russia before his family immigrated to Alaska.  He works with his father in construction and heavy equipment, and he is experienced in welding and mechanics.  Alex has been acting as one of Ice Alaska's interpreters and became interested in ice carving.  He's been working alongside the carvers to build the Kids Park and will partner up with Zergei Zinner for his first ice art competition.  

Alex is excited to be a part of the BP World Ice Art Championships.
