Dallas Texas

Dean DeMarais is the owner of ICE FX is located in Dallas, TX providing over 25 years of hand crafted ice carvings to the metroplex.  

His passion for ice carving came into play in 1988 when he began working for Robert Bifulco. Dean has participated in numerous carving competitions over the years, and he has been awarded two Top 10 National Championships. His first trip to Alaska, in 2007, he was part of the Ice Alaska Team from Texas.  They placed 2nd with their first time competing.  Dean has made several more trips to Alaska and to be a part of this event.  

More than a competitor, Dean is an active Member of Ice Alaska, he arrives weeks ahead of the event to assist and build features in ice around the park for all to enjoy.  Ice Alaska is greatful to have the opportunity to work with this generous and dedicated talent!
