An Di's interest in ice sculpting was deeply influenced by his family. In 2007 he was awarded 2nd Place in Single Block and he has twice won the Artists Choice award for Multi Block. In January 2013, Di and his carving partner, Chun He Zhang, won 1st Place at the Anchorage Crystal Gallery of Ice Competition.
His most recent Ice Alaska Awards include: 4th Place, 2013 Single Block and Multi Block.
