Alan has been involved with Ice Alasks since 1995.  He is a year-round multi-talented volunteer for Ice Alaska, assisting where ever and whenever there is a need.  Without dedicated volunteers like Alan, the BP World Ice Art Championships could not happen.  

Alan's training in ice art begain by assisting other artists with their creations.  He begain in earnest in 2001 and liked it.  He took an ice-sculpting class and now has ice tools and is ready for the professional competions.
