Ice Alaska is open for business at our new location, the Tanana Valley State Fairgrounds!
Promptly at 10:00 a.m. this morning Mrs. Connie Karl with the assistance of her husband and the Ice Alaska Board President, Mr. Bernie Karl, cut the ribbon and opened the Ice Park. Officiating were President of the Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Marisa Sharrah, and Fairbanks Mayor Mr. Jim Matherly.
The celebration was attended by Explore Fairbanks and other sponsors.
Ice Allaska is proud to be an all volunteer organization. We could not be where we are without the dedication of some 40 regular volunteers plus the support of many fine commercial sponsors. During the live event, our volunteer ranks will quadruple as we handle the daily tasks of running an opperation and international scale competition.
There is still plenty of work to be done over the next 4 weeks. Consider this your personal invite to join our ranks and become an Ice Alaska Volunteer!
New this year is onine ticket sales. Visitors can pay at the door, or purchase tickets online
