It takes a small army of volunteers to produce the World Ice Art Championships, and this year, being our return, found many of our regular volunteers performing extra duties.  No small task is documenting and cataloging the art created by the artists.  After all, this will all melt in a few weeks, and then the only evidence of its existance will be that of photographs and videos.  

We thank the generous time and gift of photos provided by our guests who assisted us this year: 

One Person Classic: the UAF Students - Abby Hall, Amanda Byrd, John Daugherty, Leif Van Cise, Nastasia Caole, Peter Paraiso, Rane Lovell, Sarah Manriguez 

Two Person Classic: William Briscoe, freelance photographer specializing in 360 photography from Wasilla 

Multi Block Classic: Matt Moberly, local artist and photographer, and Soren Melchior, local photographer.

We have one final event, this week, the Youth Classic.  We hope you have the opportunity to visit Ice Alaska's presentation of the World Ice Art Championships located in the Tanana Valley State Fairgrounds, 1800 College Road. 

The Youth Classic will conclude with an awards ceremony Saturday, March 16 at 8:00 p.m.

Also, this coming Saturday, is our Military Appreciation Day.
